At the same time the depth of the adjacent corridor is maximised to 12m depth by making a cantilever with the single units. Just as the Smithsons attempted to redefine the corridor, my corridor will become a gallery for social interaction and work. The thick spine wall between the single units and the gallery houses diverse utilities to allow a conducive environment to work with the provision of power supply sockets, telephone ports, water outlets and light fixtures etc. It offers a system for information exchange and human communication for productive cooperation. Its surfaces are treated with bare concrete to allow maximum functionality and ease of maintenance. Thus, the contrast between the seclusion of single cell and the social condenser of galleries reflects the contrast between the One and the Multitude.

The block itself follows the curvature of the railway lines while the architecture itself follows as a modern interpretation of the aqueducts on its site. Buildings lie back from the aqueduct and people use it as an entrance of their houses. It makes the condition of the front and back of aqueduct different. The wall on the ground is followed by this aqueduct language. The block reoccupies these tracks that once were used to transport goods to now serve as the foundation to house and nurture a new generation of Post-Fordist workers. Thus in its essence, the block is infrastructure - an infrastructure supplying the city with workers just as any other material or resource. The thick spine wall between the single units and the gallery houses diverse utilities to allow a conducive environment to work with the provision of power supply sockets, telephone ports, water outlets and light fixtures etc. It offers a system for information exchange and human communication for productive cooperation. The base of building – in front of the 14-metre-high wall forms a lobby to the city. And it allows for informal commercial and social occupation on the railway side. On a typical plan, the single unit is a very important contemplative space in contrast to the relentless consumerism of contemporary living-working life.
